“ Dear friends, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say, “Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!” and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you? Isn’t it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?”
Interesting perspective on using His Name in vain. What is becoming just as great a sin (of omission) is ~not~ using His Name or giving Him the glory in Woke Society.
So true. I don't think most people even recognize that God is at work. This writing was more about those who claim to know God but want to use their Christian status as a means for personal prosperity.
When we see how many Ice Cream Sunday Christians praise the Lord in Church but remain silent in Woke Society, we can understand the myriad of calamities facing America (ranging from infanticide to transsexual children, revolving door justice to the drug epidemic). They allow Millennials to champion socialist causes which are destroying Christian America. The Lord will turn His back when they call from their desperation (Matthew 10:32).
